Shop Rite’s Can Can Sale

It’s a tradition, it happens every year. You hear that catchy tune come across the TV and now you have your one year old dancing to it. As soon as she hears it she starts to do a little dance! It’s Shop Rites iconic Can Can Sale! This year’s theme is Cans for Fans!

In 2011, Shop Rite donated 40,000 cans of food to local food banks, this year the goal is 50,000! Help make this possible! It’s so simple. All you have to do is “like” Shop Rite’s page on Facebook.  Once you like their page, they will donate one can per like on their page, hoping to reach the goal of 50,000 cans in 2012!

Also be sure to check out the Shop Rite’s, “Get Can Canned” website here. All you have to do is  upload a personal photo and become a Shop Rite Can Can Dancer. You can email it to family &  friends, share on Facebook or twitter!  Check out Kiley’s video here!

 

The official Can Can sale starts Thursday, January 5th! But if you can’t wait there is a Can’t Can’t Wait Sale going on right now at your local Shop Rite!

New York City Wine & Food Festival

For the second year in a row, Chris and I attended the New York City Wine and Food Festival. The weekend was filled with food, wine, an awesome hotel and tons of Food Network Stars! Oh, and of course the fabulous Emily, Keeley and their husbands!

So we left for our hotel on Friday morning, we stayed at the Dream Downtown. I recommend this hotel to anyone going to NYC. It is amazing, stainless steel toilets, bathroom, awesome decor.

Then we headed over to the Food and Wine Festival:

We got to enjoy some yummy food and Chris was able to enjoy lots and lots of wine and other fine spirits!  Also, I was put to work, handing out promotional information on the Potluck Blog!

After the festival we headed back to the hotel to rest and freshen up, then off to Brooklyn we went for the Blue Moon Burger Bash hosted by Whoopi Goldberg.  What an event! It was SO much fun. Over 20+ burgers to try, each chef/restaurant were competing for the best burger, I got to eat about 3 of them and was SO full, Chris had about 9. Duff Goldman was also there serving some delicious  milkshakes, my favorite was the Vanilla Salted Carmel.

New York City Wine & Food Festival

I’m SUPER, SUPER excited to be invited by Shop Rite, for the second year in a row to attend the New York City Wine and Food Festival.

 

For the fourth year in a row, Shop Rite will be hosting the Grand Tasting Event at the historic Pier 57. Last year’s event was amazing, Chris and I left the festival absolutely stuffed and this year it is supposed to be 10 times bigger, so I can’t even imagine all the greatness of yumminess we will get to experience this year!!

Shop Rite will also have a booth set up for the Potluck Blog! So don’t be shy and stop by, come meet my self and some of the other amazing bloggers!

We also will be attending the Blue Moon Burger Bash,  by Pat LaFrieda meats and hosted by Whoopi Goldberg! The funny part is blue moon is the only beer I like, but since we are expecting our second little bundle of joy, Chris will just have to enjoy the greatness of Blue Moon, I on the other hand will be enjoying the milkshake and pie bar hosted by Duff Goldman!
